Eloisa Fernández Iskandar

Hi, my name is Eloisa.

I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and I currently teach between Belgium and the Netherlands. I specialise in personalised Ashtanga Yoga instruction, private lessons, and consultation for yoga teachers and studios who wish to refine their teaching and create a more meaningful learning experience for their students.

After many years of teaching, I have come to understand that no two practitioners are the same. My approach is deeply personal. I see yoga practice as something alive and adaptable, more like a custom recipe than a fixed formula. Whether working one to one or within a group setting, I meet people exactly where they are physically, mentally, and energetically.

With more than a decade of experience guiding students of all levels, I have developed a clear and practical way of teaching that makes complex things accessible. I enjoy breaking down postures, transitions, and concepts into manageable steps so students can evolve steadily without feeling overwhelmed.

My teaching is rooted in precision, adaptability, and a deep understanding of body mechanics. I work with variations, intelligent preparation, and thoughtful progression to help each student move toward their individual goals, whether that means building strength, improving mobility, refining technique, practicing during pregnancy, or adapting to injuries. My intention is to support a practice that is structured yet flexible enough to evolve with life itself.

I offer a space where practitioners can explore their potential, build confidence, and develop a deeper relationship with their bodies and their practice. I also work closely with yoga teachers, offering consultations on sequencing, teaching methodology, student relationships, and professional development.

I have dedicated many years to studying Ashtanga Yoga within its traditional context at the Sharath Yoga Centre in Mysore, India, under the guidance of Sharath Jois. My studies have also included work with respected teachers such as Laruga Glasser, Greg Nardi, Lino Miele, Ty Landrum, Eddie Stern, and Petri Räisänen. Since 2014, I have also studied yoga philosophy and devotional chanting with Dr. M. Jayashree and Prof. M. Narasimha at the Ananta Research Foundation, and I continue expanding my studies in Tantric philosophy.

From the foundations of breath and movement to the exploration of more demanding asanas, I offer guidance that is precise, grounded, and respectful of each person’s unique path.
